The Tony and Grammy Award-winning musical, Beautiful The Carole King Musical, will make its San Jose premiere at the San Jose Center for the Performing Arts on October 30, 2022.

The show tells the inspiring true story of Carole King's journey from teenage songwriter to the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer. Featuring a stunning array of beloved songs written by Gerry Goffin/Carole King and Barry Mann/Cynthia Weil, including "I Feel the Earth Move," "One Fine Day," "Will You Love Me Tomorrow?" and "You've Got a Friend," Beautiful takes you on a musical journey through King's remarkable life and career.

The original production of Beautiful received its world premiere at the Curran Theatre in San Francisco in October 2013, with direction by Marc Bruni. The show has since gone on to win numerous awards, including four Tony Awards and two Grammy Awards.

The San Jose production of Beautiful will star Emily Padgett as Carole King. Padgett has previously starred in the Broadway productions of Once and Waitress. The cast also includes James D. Gish as Gerry Goffin, Jarrod Spector as Barry Mann, and Liz Larsen as Cynthia Weil.
